Buenos Aires, April 1 (NA) – Sales of new motorcycles reached a historic high in March, with 79,115 units registered, a 54.8% year-on-year increase and 11.6% above February's figures, according to the Motor Vehicles Division of the Argentine Automobile Dealers Association (ACARA). The growth in the third month of the year compared to the previous month means 8,201 more units were sold, as 70,914 motorcycles were registered in February. The year-on-year improvement was seen against the 51,117 units sold in March 2025, meaning 27,998 more motorcycles were commercialized. Thus, in the first three months of the year, 218,772 units were registered, which is 44.4% more than in the same period of 2025, when 151,456 motor vehicles were registered, as reported by the Argentine News Agency. Analyzing last month's historical performance, ACARA President Sebastián Beato stated, 'We have just completed the month with the highest vehicle registrations in history by a wide margin, as to see a similar month, actually with fewer than 75,000 units, we have to go back to 2017.' Regarding this sales boom, he noted, 'Obviously, many people are still entering the mobility market by acquiring a motor vehicle, in many cases to work independently, which explains that smaller displacement models occupy an ever-larger portion of the total market.' Looking ahead, Beato emphasized, 'We hope the other segments can also grow and thus dynamize a more balanced offer of brands and models.' Regarding market share, changes were observed in the top positions compared to February. Honda continued to lead the market with 14,754 units, followed by Motomel with 9,776, which reclaimed that position, leaving Gilera third with 9,331. Behind them is Keller, which was out of the top five in January; it now remains fourth with 8,458 units, and the novelty is the rise of Corven to fifth place with 7,081, displacing Zanella from the top five. In the most registered model, there is only one change compared to February: the historic leader of previous years, the Honda Wave 110, continues in first place with 7,533, followed now by the Keller KN 110-8 with 7,266, which rose one spot, surpassing the Gilera Smash with 6,705, now third. Like in February, the Motomel B110 remains fourth with 5,269 units, and the Corven Energy 110 from Corven with 4,272 units remained in fifth place, as has been the case since November. Motorcycle registrations ranking by model for March: Honda Wave 110: 7,533, Keller KN110-8: 7,266, Gilera Smash: 6,705, Motomel B110: 5,269, Corven Energy 110: 4,272, Mondial LD 110 MAX: 2,943, Motomel S2 150: 1,671, Honda GLH 150: 1,338, Motomel CX 150: 1,323, Zanella ZB 110: 1,277.
